Guide

What is the Timestamp Converter?

The Unix Timestamp Converter is an online tool that allows you to convert dates to Unix timestamps and Unix timestamps back to human-readable dates.
A Unix timestamp represents the number of seconds (or milliseconds) elapsed since January 1, 1970, 00:00:00 UTC (also known as the Unix Epoch).
This tool works both ways:

  • Timestamp → Date
  • Date → Timestamp
It is especially useful for developers working with APIs, databases, logs, or systems that rely on Unix time.

How does it Work?

Timestamp → Date Conversion

You can input:

  • a timestamp in seconds (e.g. 1767357766)
  • or a timestamp in milliseconds (e.g. 1767357766077)
The converter automatically detects whether the value is in seconds or milliseconds and returns:
  • Unix timestamp in seconds
  • Unix timestamp in milliseconds
  • Date in ISO 8601 format with milliseconds (YYYY-MM-DDTHH:mm:ss.SSSZ)
  • Date in RFC 2822 format (Fri, 02 Jan 2026 10:02:46 +0000)
All results are normalized to UTC to avoid timezone ambiguity.

Date → Timestamp Conversion

You can input a date in one of the following formats:
  • YYYY-MM-DD
  • YYYY-MM-DDTHH:mm:ss
  • YYYY-MM-DDTHH:mm:ssZ
  • YYYY-MM-DDTHH:mm:ss.SSSZ
The tool returns:
  • Unix timestamp in seconds
  • Unix timestamp in milliseconds
  • The normalized date in ISO 8601
  • The same date in RFC 2822
